Maximum Respect and Exponential Blessings goes out to Smiley from Shut Up and Dance, for being the catalyst for the manifestation of this track, and more importantly, for his Heart felt Desire to help the persecuted people of Dafur in Sudan.

As this track was part of a Charity Album [The brain child of Smiley], which was created in order to provide financial assistance, to those negatively effected by the civil war in the region.

The album featured luminaries from the jungle seen like Hype and Zinc, as well as many of the leading lights from the breakbeat seen as well.

In terms of my offering, I was asked to create a breakbeat track, which, while it was not my usual style of production, due to being asked by one of the founding fathers of the scene [both jungle and breakbeat], and for it being for such I good cause, how could I refuse.

So what I hoped to achieve with the creation of Promise Land, was to produce an emotive, inspirational, jungle infused track, which spoke to the spirit of determination, redemption and ultimately, victory, over the circumstances of adversary, where ever they surface, and I hope that it also inspires the same in you, with whatever struggles life has lead you towards in your experience.
